Here's a good companion post to the list of top European VC-backed M&A exits I published yesterday: VCRatings lists the top 10 North American exits, all of which are well above $100m (altough they include 4 biotech deals, which I'm not tracking). In fact the top 40 exits (!) are above $150m, a good indicator of the depth of the US exit markets. These numbers also show a clear improvement on 2005, unlike in Europe where the trend is less conclusive:
"[...] the 40th largest M&A exit of a US-based venture-backed startup in 2006 was worth $150 million versus just $67 million in 2005."
